Symbolically war penetrates deep into the visceral organs of repacified Western society. At the turn of the 21st Century an entirely new form of was has emerged, the "mass-cultural war". In his talk Holert will – against the backdrop of the wars "for hearts and minds" and "on terrorism" – address the mental amarments in the media cultures of the West.
